Post by Davewhen switching to full screen mode, i have two problems.
1. is the resolution is all wrong, and i cannot change it, stuck in
low res.
2. when i switch back to the host system. the resolution is changed
and the same as the guest.
any ideas?
Can't provide anything definitive. It'd help if you told us a little more.
Such as:
What version of VPC are you using?
Do you have Virtual Machine Additions installed? If so, what version of
that?
What are your Display settings for the virtual machine? By this, I mean the
VPC settings for Display for this virtual machine.
Have you got "Allow any screen resolution" set?
Has this always been a problem or is it something that just recently
started?
Does this problem occur with other virtual machines that you have, or is it
only this one?
Try re-installing or updating VMA. I've also noticed that sometimes it take
a little while for the VMA services to "kick in" and sometimes (rarely) one
or more of them don't at all (they're running, they just don't seem to be
doing what they should). I don't have an explanation for that. It's just
something I've observed. Usually, restarting the guest OS takes care of
that.

Don't expect, or ask for, email replies in newsgroup posts. <g> The whole
point of newsgroups is so that everyone can benefit and participate, which
can't happen if replies are emailed. Granted, since MS has dropped
newsgroups from their support options, there's not much going on in them
anymore.
